Frequently Asked Questions
What is The Little Loop?
The Little Loop is a parent-to-parent clothing network that helps families pass along outgrown kids’ clothes directly to another family. Instead of guessing where donations end up, you can feel confident your items are being reused.
Who receives the clothes I send?
We match your bag with a family in our database whose child matches the gender and is typically one to two sizes smaller than what you are sending.
Our goal is thoughtful reuse, not randomness.
Do I need to fill the entire bag?
Not at all. Send what you have when you are ready. Every item helps extend the life of clothing and reduce waste.
What condition should the clothes be in?
Please send gently used items that you would feel good about giving to a friend.
We ask that clothing be:
• Clean
• Free from major stains
• Free from rips or damage
• Ready to wear
If you would not gift it, it is best to recycle it instead.
Can I receive clothes too?
Yes. When you sign up, you can opt into receiving clothes as well. Our growing community means more opportunities to both give and receive.
How does matching work?
After you scan your QR code, we use our matching system to identify a family whose child fits the size range you are sending. This helps ensure the clothes arrive when they are actually needed.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is included with your Loop Bag. Once matched, we send you a prepaid label so there are no surprises.
Where do you ship?
Currently, we ship within the United States. As our community grows, we hope to expand.
What makes The Little Loop different from donating?
Many donated clothes never reach another child and can end up overseas or in landfills. The Little Loop keeps clothing moving directly between families, making the impact more personal and more sustainable.
